Luz Maria:  Dia De Los Muertos, is FINISHED!  I was asked many questions about the character, Luz Maria De La Rosa, better known as 'De La Hoya' to her Shadow teammates and decided she needed a standalone series.  You may remember at the close of One Last Mission, Luz Maria had been infected by Somnolent Chameleon, better known as 'Sleepy' to those who know and hate her.  

 

This story begins there and takes you through her fight to survive the infection.  She has barely began her recovery when she receives news that her Uncle Twin has died.  Thrust into the search for his murderer, family ties and secrets are exposed, making her and her new team, the Trenchees navigate a world shrouded in tradition, folklore and magic.

 

I thought it was time for a Latina character who wasn't a singer, actress or model, someone torn between 3 worlds, that of her Native American, Mexican heritage, and living life off the Rez, who fights against the misconceptions and racism that comes in everyday America against people of color.  Treat her right.  Because now, you'll never see her left hook coming.
